Hello Family! There are few things that I want to highlight about the website so that you are aware. I want this to be an interactive site where we can communicate with each other! I have put together a couple of things to help us get started and to lay the groundwork for the future.
First, did you know that you can subscribe to the website and receive notifications when a new post is created? Subscribing to the blog simplifies notifications, and makes life a little easier for me. When you subscribe, I do not have to compose and send an email along with the post. Subscribing is very simple:
- Enter your email address in the subscription section on the right hand side of the page and click Subscribe.
- Check your email for a confirmation from the website. Click Confirm Follow towards the bottom of the email
- Check your email again for a confirmation that you have subscribed to email updates from the website, and you are done!
Now, whenever there is a new post, you will receive an email! Save this confirmation email because it has links to allow you to manage your subscription (change email frequency, change your email address, etc)
Adding Comments
Next are comments. At the bottom of every post, there is a section that allows you to leave comments:
Once you click the link, you will be able to leave a comment but you are required to enter your email address and your name. If you click the check box to save your information, you will not have to do this again. I will have to approve your first comment before it appears on the site but after that, it will post automatically. This is being done to prevent any spam from showing up.
