Hello family, I pray that you are doing well as we adjust to our new temporary normal of staying at home. As you have noticed, we have moved our monthly family email to another level. I thought that a website would be a better choice since it gives some more flexibility and makes it easier for us all to communicate. Sending the email is effective, but any comments were only coming to me and I had to send the email from home. Having a blog will allow us to interact, allow others to join in on the conversation and be interactive!
We will start off small with the website and expand as we go along. I want to add additional pages to enter family information, view the family tree and link to the family pictures. I am looking for feedback for what else everyone would like to see. I am going to reach out to some of you and ask you to write a post to share some of your knowledge and wisdom. This weekend, I am going to work on adding a password to the page to keep this private!
Unfortunately, I must share some sad news with all of you. Cyrus Ellison’s father, James Brown passed on Friday, March 27th. He was a victim of the Coronavirus. This strain of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) is very serious and I can’t stress enough that you need to make sure that you protect yourselves and those around you by practicing social distancing and washing your hands on a regular basis! It seems that there are so many people around us that just can’t seem to grasp this concept and others that are spreading incorrect information. Please be careful of what information that you share, because there is a lot of bad information out there. Look at the CDC Coronavirus (COVID-19) site for medical information and the Snopes Coronavirus Collection site to find false information.
Let’s all pray for our family members who are healthcare workers on the front line every day helping those with this virus and for the people infected with this virus and all that are impacted by virus. And also pray for those who have lost their jobs or had their income reduced because of this worldwide tragedy.

And finally, I know that we will not have a family reunion this year, but I had an idea for something that we can do this year… a virtual family reunion!
