Hello Family, I need your help! I want to improve the family experience and to do that, I need to secure the website so that the world cannot see everything. You may have noticed that there was a change to the website recently, there is a login section for username and password. That will give access to a new family only area that I am working on now. When that is up and running, it will give us that privacy and a lot of the posts that are visible now will disappear until you are logged in to the site. I am about to begin some testing with a few “volunteers” and I hope to roll this out within the next 2 weeks. Check you email later for additional details.
While we are talking about the website, in the email I sent today there a request to verify your info. That is very important , please read and verify and update the info if needed.
Family Photos and Documents
Since we are in the middle of a pandemic, the trip that Chuck and I planned to do research in South Carolina and Augusta has been postponed. I am still trying to do as much research as I can online and by contacting the courthouses and genealogy societies. But there is some information that I can’t find without some basic information. Right now, I am trying to track down some information and I hope that someone has some info. John Wesley Hickson (father of Laura, Dan, Cyrus, Ruth, Ike, etc) was born around 1874 but I do not have proof of when he died. I have been told it was 1929 but I do not have proof because I cannot find a death certificate for him. I know that he was alive in 1920 because he is in the census and he was not alive in 1930, again because of the census. He had to be alive until around January 1926 because Aunt Winnie was born in September 1926. Does anyone have a family bible, a funeral program or any other documentation that might show when he died?
