July 2020 Hickson Family Update

Happy July Family! I pray that you are all doing well in spite of the pandemic, the protests and all else that is going on in our country.

7/12/20 Update: Prayers Needed

Hi family, I have a few update that I have added to the page (see below) but I also want ask everyone to pray for Eleanor Stallings Hatney (Aunt Laura’s daughter). Her daughter Sonya (Sweetie) sent me an email and said that Eleanor had been in intensive care for what they thought was a stroke, but she is home resting and doing well. We are all praying for a speedy and complete recovery!

Family Memories

For those of you that are not familiar with the Hickson Cousins Photos site, it is a place where you can upload family pictures to save and share. If you have any pictures to share, click the link and follow the directions to load the pictures. Just don’t forget to add the names!! I would love to see some of the old family photos. Whatever you have, please share them to the site.

July Announcements

Note: Updated to include Elise & Elijah’s graduation.

We have two announcements for the month of July, Cyrus Ellison (LeJeune’s son, Uncle Cyrus’ grandson) was sworn in as an attorney for the state of New Jersey! Cyrus is now licensed as an attorney in Florida and New Jersey. Congratulations to Cyrus!

We also have two high school graduations. My great niece & nephew Elise & Elijah Frails (Eddie’s daughter & son, Betty Jean’s granddaughter & grandson, Uncle Ike’s great-granddaughter & great-grandson) are graduating from AR Johnson Health, Science and Engineering Magnet School on July 22. Elise will attending Augusta University and Elijah will attend Augusta University or East Georgia State in the fall. Congratulations!

Virtual Family Get-Together

Who’s interested in another family Zoom call? The previous ones were a great time and a wonderful opportunity to see or meet family. I want to plan another one, but I would like some feedback on the day and the time. I planned the previous calls for later in the day on Sundays but I want to hear back from all of you for what works best. If we can come up with a better time from the majority, we can move it.
